Summary: dpkg-scanpackages: libmp3lame.so: No such file or directory

Initial Comment:
I have been trying to build debian packages from the
latest source, lame-3.96.1.tar.gz.
After the build, when creating the debian Packages.gz
file, the file libmp3lame.so is reported missing. This
is what I did:

$ cd /usr/local/src
$ wget
http://mesh.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/lame/lame-3.96.1.tar.gz
$ tar -xzf lame-3.96.1.tar.gz
$ cd lame-3.96.1

### I removed the line with "PRESETS.draft" in
"./debian/lame.docs" to prevent the following error:
### error: cp: cannot stat `PRESETS.draft': No such
file or directory

$ dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc -rfakeroot
$ cd ..
$ su
# dpkg-scanpackages ./ /dev/null | gzip > Packages.gz
find:
.//lame-3.96.1/debian/liblame0-dev/usr/lib/libmp3lame.so:
No such file or directory

# ls -l .//lame-3.96.1/debian/liblame0-dev/usr/lib/
total 384
-rw-r--r--  1 user staff 383872 Mar  7 19:53 libmp3lame.a
-rw-r--r--  1 user staff    798 Mar  7 19:53 libmp3lame.la
lrwxrwxrwx  1 user staff     19 Mar  7 19:53
libmp3lame.so -> libmp3lame.so.0.0.0

The symbolic link libmp3lame.so -> libmp3lame.so.0.0.0
contained in the package liblame0-dev points to a file
which is not contained in the very same package but in
the package liblame0. It just seems to be a packaging
problem. But since dpkg-scanpackages doesn't run
cleanly, I think it would be nice if something could be
done about it.

I close this one as duplication of bug report #1158505,
because the patch with the report fixes this bug.
